  • Non-verbal communication and early communication (ex. Gestures, babbling)

  • Verbal communication (ex. Using words, combining words, saying sounds clearly)

  • Alternative and Augmentative Communication aka “AAC”

  • Understanding (ex. Following directions, responding to questions)

  • Storytelling

  • Play skills

  • Pre-Literacy and Literacy skills

  • Social negotiation

  • Feeding Concerns (ex. Gagging/choking, difficulty starting solids etc.)

  • Other areas where speech-language pathology is recommended

We offer the following services:

  • Assessment/Consultation

  • Individual therapy

  • Group therapy

  • Parent education

  • Home, community and/or Centre-based visits

Note: Speech therapy services in some areas are provided in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority (IHA) Penticton Health Centre. Referrals for speech therapy can be made at either the Child Development Centre or the Health Centre.
