Wishlist
It isn't hard at all to make a wish. The difficultly lies in how to make what you wish for a reality...
And that's where you come in! As a non-profit organization, the OSNS relies heavily on fundraising and community donations to help provide our centre with the essentials we need to operate.
We have an ever-growing list of things we need to improve or replace in order maintain our high-level of quality service to the children and families that visit our Centre.
Our Wishlist items vary in price from small low cost toys and equipment to larger projects that support specific programs in our centre, such as our new LINK program aimed towards youth in our South Okanagan communities.
We're grateful for any type of support in fulfilling our Wishlist - everything helps!
Special Projects
Here are a few of the projects within our centre that we could use your help to make a reality!
Flooring
We are in great need of new flooring in the common areas throughout the centre, more specifically the loop around the gym where we set-up equipment for our physical therapy sessions. A rubberized surface would be an ideal option here!
Family Room
Our family room is where families gather with our staff to receive diagnostic information and make treatment plans. Having a designated space in which both the child and family feels safe and supported helps to maximize a child’s potential. The OSNS family room has been well-loved, and is in desperate need of updating and rejuvenation in order to better serve our families!
LINK@OSNS
The LINK program was created as a safe social space where youth with autism or other social communication challenges can come to develop social skills and make friendships. This is a new demographic for the OSNS and we are in great need of equipment targeted towards youth for this program.
